# Redraft Wall: Every NHL Draft Class Re-Picked, 1990–2025

The Redraft Wall re-ranks every NHL draft class from 1990 through 2025 by **Redraft Value**. Mature players use observed NHL careers; young-player rows can also use a separately disclosed retained forecast basis. Goalies have their own calculation lane. This is the current retained model's reconstruction, not an archived draft-night ranking.

Player cards show the source's ordered calculation ledger, including caps and scaling operations. A legacy card without enough source arithmetic says its calculation is incomplete. The 36 classes, wall and search share one validated snapshot, and a card preserves the selecting team when a draft pick changed hands.

## What each class shows

- **The redraft top 15 vs the actual top 10** — the hindsight order side by side with how the night really went, with each player's original slot and career line.
- **Steals & slides** — the biggest risers (late picks who became stars) and toughest slides (top picks who didn't land), each with a one-line model explanation.
- **Team scorecard** — every team's picks that year ranked by contextual surplus: how far above or below slot expectation their selections landed, with pick counts, NHLers produced, and each team's best pick.

## Honest limits

- Recent classes are still maturing. An 18-year-old drafted two years ago has barely started writing his career. The model labels each class's maturity and confidence, and recent redraft orders will keep moving.
- Redraft Value is a model read on public career data (NHL records), not a scouting verdict.
